Situated in the popular Sunshine Coast QLD estate "Harmony", Our Palmview Terrace project was all about creating maximum space on a small lot design. Having a total lot size of 220m2. Our clients were wanting to create a landscape design that would stand out from the other terraces in the estate, where largely the majority of terraces at that time being constructed being under house and land packages which included a basic landscape component which largely was done purely to meet the minimum estate guidelines.

 

Removing this from their building contract the clients engaged BRDS to provide the concept right through to co ordination with the landscaping contractor on site. The client brief was to create two separate spaces, Space one being the Backyard, this was to be a sub-tropical theme encompassing a low maintenance simple design as their dog would be predominantly in this space. The second space to be a productive front yard, as this was something which was a passion of the clients. The finished space including close to 80% productive plants, which included a mix of fruit & vegetables, herbs, raised garden beds, front hedging consisting of fruiting shrubs, and lastly a range of habitat plants that promoted Native bees into an area where generally their wasn't a lot of habitat occuring for them.
